As a representative of metal packaging products, tinplate cans have become an important factor in choosing packaging for many merchants with their exquisite printing layout and unique can shape. Don’t underestimate this small jar. Making a tin palette can is a complicated process. Today, the tin can manufacturer will introduce the production process of tin cans to you.
1. Material
Common tinplate cans are divided into tinplate or matte iron, with thicknesses of 0.21mm, 0.23mm, 0.25mm, 0.28mm, 0.30mm, etc., among which the commonly used thickness dimensions are 0.23mm, 0.25mm, and 0.28mm. The difference between tinplate and matte iron is that the texture of the material is not used. Tinplate has relatively rough stripes, while matte iron has a strong metal sand effect, so at the price of matte iron is several hundred yuan higher than tinplate.
2. Typesetting and printing
The specification of a piece of iron is 1100*960mm, and the designer will type according to the cutting edge line of the production tank. After the layout is confirmed, the plate is made and printed. Usually this is handed over to the iron printing manufacturer for plate making. The printing process is generally four colors + spot color printing, and the oily effect is printed according to the layout process determined by the customer in advance. For specific printing information, please check the printing process of tinplate cans. This printing cycle takes about 15 days.
III. Cut iron
Transfer the printed iron material back to the factory for cutting materials. The operator cuts the iron material according to the edge line of the iron material, and divides the iron material into tank cover, inner cover, can body, tank bottom and other parts. This process is a relatively fine canning process, which requires high cutting accuracy and requires years of cutting experience to operate by the master.
IV. Stamping and forming
Pressing and forming the cut iron material. Here is a mold that requires a complete set of iron cans for forming. A simple iron can also require at least fifteen stamping processes. Including flashing, forming, coiling, protrusion, etc. In the past, a stamping production line required more than a dozen operators, but with the popularity of automated production lines, stamping production lines have now been replaced by automated punches, and each line can only be operated by 2 people.
5. Packaging and shipping
Combined packaging of stamped can lids and cans, and check whether each can has defective products during processing. This is the last step in the production of tinplate cans, and it is also a relatively important process. It is the key to the passing rate of a batch of tinplate cans.
